A MESSAGE FROM SANDY:
Sandy asked me to post a note about a class she took at the Mandrel. Also a personal note from Sandy:

I would like to say thanks to every one that ever came into the store over the past three years.  It has been a privilege to meet each and every one of you.  I hope you continue to play with fire and melt glass and do what you love.

Regards, Sandy Kirkman.

The Mandrel is a great place to join friends to learn a new technique or hone your skills.  The Mandrel hosted Kim Fields and Donna Conklin at the Mandrel was a great host.  Everything was ready for us when we arrived, glass and lunch was provided.  Donna let us stay late on Saturday and ordered pizza and salads for dinner.
The glass racks are full of Moretti, Vetrofond and CIM.  She also has frit packs, tools, books and lots of other fun items.  Check it out!!
Kim Fields was the instructor.  If your get a chance to take a class with her do so.  Kim answered every question we had and told us how she did everything with the exception of her new sculptural bird beads (Kim didn't feel comfortable showing us this because she was still developing the techniques for a class yet.).  Watch out for this class when she gives it in the  future.
